Probing the Roles of Residual Sodium in Physicochemical Properties and Performance of FeAlNa Catalyst for Fischer–Tropsch Synthesis

Although Fe-based catalysts have made significant progress in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis, the effect of residual sodium on structural properties and catalytic performance has been controversial. Herein, we report positive role FeAlNa for olefins synthesis from syngas. Meanwhile, as-prepared were characterized by multiple characterization technique to reveal properties. The results revealed that improved reduction behavior Fe species adsorption ability CO, inhibited secondary hydrogenation due its weak H2. Moreover, interaction between Al. Importantly, a high olefins/paraffins ratio 6.19 low CH4 selectivity 12.8% achieved modified catalyst. An in-depth understanding FeAl-based can provide theoretical basis development novel efficient large-scale applications
